Howdy, y'all!
Over the past few weeks, I have felt so fortunate to be able to be a part of two events put on by Pearland ISD's counseling department. Last week, I was able to share about mindfulness and present an activity about practicing mindful eating to participants at Berry Miller & Rogers Middle Schools' Mindfulness Expo. As a clinician, I am very passionate about teaching mindfulness practices as a strategy to improve mental health and wellness, so I was grateful to be able to share. (Interested in mindfulness? You can read more about it here!)
Additionally, last night I was able to be a part of the Carousel of Resources at Pearland ISD's annual #IWillAsk event, promoting suicide prevention and mental health awareness. I enjoyed being included and meeting some folks who are passionate about mental health care.
Thank you so much for including me and allowing me to share, PISD!
Love,
Caroline
